Upon hearing of the recent teen suicides linked to anti-gay bullying, Brittany decided to take a stand and along with the help of her friends at the Jed Foundation, created LoveisLouder.com.

Brittany shared, “Love Is Louder is a movement that is hopefully going to bring some awareness and make some noise when it comes to teens who are feeling suicidal or even just sad, outcasts, and being bullied, and really feel like they have nowhere to turn to. It’s a place where people who have been through it can support them and share their stories, [so they will know] that they’re not alone, and that there’s a place for people to put their experiences and hope.”

FYI: Brittany is wearing a jersey bandeau dress and multi strap platform sandal, both from Michael Kors. She accessorized with Joan Hornig Gold Leaf Cuff. 100% of proceeds from the sales of Joan Hornig’s jewelry go to the charity of the purchaser’s choice!



Brittany also did a impromptu photo shoot by Douglas Friedman at the 2010 Teen Vogue Young Hollywood Party.
Props from Paramount Studios were used during the shoot including studio lights, and smoke and wind machines. There was also a ‘prop’ table filled with accessories from Michael Kors including sunglasses.

On the actors she swoons over: “You’ve seen him [Gerard Butler] in P.S. I Love You, right? My favorite. I bawled my eyes out. She [Scarlett Johansson] is, honestly, the most beautiful girl I’ve ever seen. I went to He’s Just Not That into You with Justin [Gaston], and I was covering his eyes.”

On not crushing on Robert Pattinson: “I’m not a huge Rob Pattinson fan. Girls aren’t really in love with Rob; they’re in love with Edward.”

On not working with good friends Taylor Swift or Demi Lovato: “Demi and I are the most alike; I’m anti-drama. I like to keep my friendship separate, otherwise, competition starts.”

On believing in love at first sight: “I believe in love at first sight. It just hasn’t happened to me. I walked right by him [Justin, the first time she saw him]. Love doesn’t come from attraction, but from somewhere deeper. [Justin] is my best friend.”

TV: And then in the ninth grade, you signed a song-writing deal, moved to Nashville, and here you are. Did you ever see those girls again?

TS: Actually, I did! I played a hometown show about a year into my career, and they showed up, wearing my T-shirts and asking me to sign their CDs. It was bittersweet, because it made me realize that they didn't remember being mean to me and that I needed to forget about it, too. And really, if I hadn't come home from school miserable every day, maybe I wouldn't have been so motivated to write songs. I should probably be thanking them!

TV: Totally! Since you're known for writing very honest, almost confessional lyrics, everything is fair game. Has that changed the way you approach your relationships?

TS: Well, I'm typically single. I'm the girl who—I call it girl-next-door-itis--the hot guy is friends with and gets all his relationship advice from but never considers dating. Right now I'm not opposed to falling in love, but I'm also not exactly out there looking.

TV: Does success make it easier to meet people?

TS: It's weird—I thought I'd have so many more friends, but I feel like I'm less popular than I've ever been. It makes me value the people I can trust even more; I still have the same best friend I had all through high school.

TV: You're playing yourself in the Hannah Montana movie. Are you interested in acting?

TS: Only if it was a show that I loved, like CSI or Grey's Anatomy, or if it was a really cool script. But I'm not feeling this desperate urge.

TV: On Fearless, you sing about your penchant for T-shirts and sneakers, and you're the face of the denim line L.e.i. But it seems like you've been busting out some pretty glamorous looks on the red carpet lately.

TS: Thank you! I've learned a lot. I go to all these photo shoots, and each time I figure out something new about myself and what I want to wear. For a big night, I like Marchesa or Badgley Mischka—and I love Oscar de la Renta. I've never gotten to wear one of his dresses; if I ever did, I would probably faint. And I am obsessed with high heels.

TV: Does it feel strange to have so many people taking your picture all the time?

TS: Well, I've never had paparazzi in Nashville before; that's a new thing. You really have a lot of privacy here. I saw that documentary on Britney Spears, and I feel bad for her—she can't leave her house!

TV: At what point did you realize you finally made it?

TS: Oh, no, I'm never going to have that moment. All of this is amazing, but it doesn't guarantee anything about the future. I still haven't made it to where I want to be.

On raising the awareness of animal rights, especially whales and dolphins: “[Heroes] put me in a place to speak for things that I’m passionate about. When I was younger, I’d always donate to the humane society.”

On her fashion sense: “I have the same sense of style that I did when I was growing up, but now I wear things that I might not have when I was younger, because I’m much more comfortable with my body. I’m definitely a jeans and tee shirt girl. I dress down and comfy whenever I can, which makes dressing up more exciting. I really like to look polished. I love pencil skirts and flirty dresses – but I’m not picky when it comes to designers; I could find something great to wear from French Connection or Gucci. I have a lot of fun dressing up and deciding what kind of look I want to go for depending on the event.”

Rihanna is latest celeb to sport the milk mustache, encourage teens to drink three glasses of lowfat or fat free milk everyday, and eat right to stay lean and healthy. The ad debuts on February 5, 2008 in Teen Vogue. Here’s what the ad copy reads:

Hayden Panettiere's new movie

Hayden is set to star in a new film called I Love You, Beth Cooper, a teen comedy that’s going to be produced by Chris Columbus.
Hayden will play a hot cheerleader who is the object of a nerdy valedictorian’s obsession. The pair embark on a series of misadventures after he proclaims his love for her in his graduation speech.
